Return and refund policy

this policy is applicable to Ricky B Ventures, LLC which does business as A Pet Loft, and operates various names derived from Pet Loft: Petloftpdx and Petloftnw, etc.

The following is our general policy for refunds and returns. Nothing in this is to be construed as a contract for service or a requirement to perform in any specific way. All rights are reserved, including refusal of service.

It is an unfortunate truth in society that the few "bad apples" spoil it for everyone else. At Pet Loft we want to do the right thing and we expect others to return the sentiment.

Food Products

Wet food (cans/bottles/pouches)/treats/biscuits

Returnable unopened and undamaged within 14 days. Between 15 and 30 days a product can be exchanged or issued store credit only.

Dry foods

Most kibble is returnable within 14 days if the pet won't eat it and other such situations. Most brands understand that pets can be picky! The food must be in its original package with barcodes and date codes intact. Removal of vital bag data will void any return. Between 15 and 30 days a product can be exchanged or issued store credit only.

Frozen/refrigerated foods

Frozen/refrigerated foods that the pet won't eat can be returned under the same policy as dry foods. However, unopened bags bought in multiples cannot be returned once they have left the store. Returned frozen/refrigerated food cannot be resold and is therefore non-returnable for any other reason except that the pet won't eat it or has an adverse reaction to it.

The only exception is for items under a recall or otherwise announced as returnable by a manufacturer or government body. Pet Loft follows all health regulations and cooperates fully with any adverse product event.

Non-returnable-opened items, bulk items, damaged items (other than clear manufacturer defect) or items sold as-is such as clearance items.

Toys/other pet supplies

Returnable within 14 days when unopened and undamaged. All tags and packaging must be present. Between 15 and 30 days a product can be exchanged or issued store credit only. Toys are meant to be destroyed and are not guaranteed to last any length of time. Some manufaturers do have guarantees and will replace certain items within different time frames. All manufacturers require a receipt. Pet Loft cannot process these guarantees as they are manaufacturer direct and vary drastically between manaufacturers.

Gift Cards are not returnable. All sales are final. Gift cards purchased at a discount will have an expiration date at least 30 days after sale. Gift cards sold at full price have no expiration date. Pet Loft assumes no responsility to replace a lost gift card. Gift Cards shall be treated as cash.

Pet Loft reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.
